The McGrath Writers provides opportunities for young people from all communities in Belfast to engage with creative writing. The project is generously supported by The McGrath Trust and delivered by Arvon, in partnership with Start360 and The Belfast Inter-Schools Creative Writing Network.
The Belfast Inter- Schools Creative Writing Network was established by novelist and former Methodist College teacher Sheena Wilkinson in 2011, for the creative and personal development of young writers in the Belfast area and beyond. The Network welcomes young people from Year 11 upwards, and offers monthly workshops, always taken by a professional writer, and covering all genres. The Network also arranges Arvon residentials and publishes an annual anthology.
