Planning, drafting and rewriting

GENRE: Fiction
Lumb Bank

What if the story you’ve written is not quite the one that wants to be told? What if a ‘minor’ character keeps waving at you from the sidelines? As writers of course we write, but we must also edit, rework, reject, make tough decisions. This week will assist manuscripts onward and look at the kinds of revisions that must sometimes be made. We will bring to the week our own experiences of the need to keep things moving ahead: to keep revising, to keep inventing, and finally to get there.

Participants are invited to submit up to 2,000 words of their work to by 19 May 2017. Please note that submitting work is optional.

Single room price: £760
Shared room price: £710
