Turning factual stories into crafted narrative

GENRE: Non-Fiction & Life Writing
-
Lumb Bank

This week will give you the tools to write engaging narrative non-fiction, turning history, memoir, biography or investigative reporting into a crafted story with structure. This is a form of writing that should be true but also stylised, so that the skills of a novelist – character, pace, tension, dialogue and so on – are brought to bear on the material, making it intriguing and gripping. At the end of this course you will be able to understand the intricacies of writing non-fiction, and feel confident to begin researching, crafting and producing your own non-fiction work.
