Alive or dead?

GENRE: Poetry
-
Totleigh Barton

Does a poem really live? Does it have that ‘sudden sharp hot stink of forx’ that Ted Hughes described entering his head in ‘The Thought-Fox’? Does it leap onto the page then pulse with life when read? Through reading, writing and discussion we will encourage our own happy visitations. We will consider such aspects as imagination, language and form, to explore ways of making our poems more alive and vibrant.
