Fred D’Aguiar

Fred D’Aguiar writes fiction, poetry, plays and essays and is the author of a dozen books of poetry and fiction. His first novel, The Longest Memory won the Whitbread First Novel Award and was made into a film by Channel 4. His sixth poetry collection, Continental Shelf, was a Poetry Book Society Choice and shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize in 2009. He won the Cholmondeley Award in 2019, and currently teaches Creative Writing at UCLA.
