Karen Lloyd

Karen Lloyd is the author of Abundance: Nature in Recovery (Bloomsbury, 2021) which was longlisted for the James Cropper Wainwright Prize for Writing on Conservation in 2022. She has published two award-winning books with Saraband – The Gathering Tide: A Journey Around the Edgelands of Morecambe Bay (2015), The Blackbird Diaries (2017) and is editor of North Country: an Anthology of Landscape and Nature (Saraband, 2022). She has been commissioned by the BBC and her essays and poetry are published on Lit Hub and Ink Sweat and Tears amongst others. She teaches on Lancaster’s MA in Creative Writing and is writer in residence with the University’s Future Places Centre. She lives in the English Lake District.
