Win an Arvon Writing Week in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award!

Arvon is pleased to be partnering with the renowned Aesthetica Creative Writing Award. Now in its 16th year, this international prize celebrates innovation in form, concept and technique across poetry and short fiction. Each year, the award is open to entries from across the globe, welcoming works in any theme and in any genre, searching for writing that push the boundaries of the imagination.

As a partner for the 2022 edition, Arvon is offering five-day courses to the winner of both the fiction and poetry categories. Aesthetica also offers £2,500 prize money, publication, courses courtesy of Poetry School, consultations with Redhammer Management and memberships to the Poetry Society

     Prizes

  • £5,000 prize money
    (£2,500 for the Poetry Winner, £2,500 for the Short Fiction Winner)
  • Publication in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Annual
  • Full membership to The Poetry Society (Poetry Winner)
  • A free 10-week Online Course from  the Poetry School (Poetry Winner)
  • Consultation with Redhammer Management (Fiction Winner)
  • Selection of books from Vintage
  • One year print subscription to Granta

    Guidelines

    • Poetry entries should be no more than 40 lines.
    • Fiction entries should be no more than 2,000 words.
    • Works published or entered elsewhere are accepted.
    • We accept works on any theme.
    • You may enter the Award as many times as you wish, although each work requires a fee and new submission form.
