We offer half-price concession pricing on selected courses with late availability, for members of Arvon 18-25 and people in receipt of certain UK state benefits only.
We will make it clear on a course’s web page if half-price concessions are available. If the course page does not state late availability pricing is available then concession pricing is not available for that course. However, when we have grant funds available you are welcome to apply for a grant for all of our courses, except for retreats.
How to apply for half-price late availability
Late availability concession bookings must be taken over the phone – telephone the centre hosting the course. The discount is not available via the Arvon website.
Aged 18-25: Proof of age is required. Have a scan of your passport or driving licence ready to email to Arvon to confirm your age at the time of booking. You must first become a member of Arvon 18-25 – this is free and sign up is here.
In receipt of UK state benefits: Only those in receipt of the following benefits can apply:
Means-tested state benefits (such as housing benefit, council tax benefit, Universal Credit, Income Support, pension credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance, or other similar benefits)
Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment
Proof that you are currently in receipt of a benefit is required. When you phone the centre to book, you will be asked to email a scanned copy of a benefit letter to secure your booking.
Payment will be taken over the phone. For courses more than six weeks away, you have to pay a deposit of £200 to secure your booking, and the remaining balance no later than six weeks before the course starts. For courses starting within six weeks, full payment will need to be taken upfront.
Half-price late availability terms and conditions
The concession pricing is only available for specified courses, selected at Arvon’s discretion. If you wish to transfer your booking to another course you will have to pay the full price of that course, unless that course is available for concession pricing.
The concession pricing is only available for people booking after the date the late availability pricing has been made public. If you have already booked on a course and it is now being made available for concession pricing, you are still required to pay the full balance and are not entitled to the discount pricing. If you cancel your existing booking, you will not be permitted to re-book on the same course under the late availability concession pricing.
