This video is about teaching you to write a simple narrative poem, using one of your own memories. You will practice making similes and metaphors both by using the senses and by using function, before adding simile and metaphor to your memory to turn it into a poem. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to come up with similes and metaphors for anything and to build a poem using them. You will also be able to sprinkle any kind of writing with a simile or metaphor to make it more interesting, poignant, or poetic.
This workshop is roughly 50 minutes including time to write. If you’re in a rush skip to 4:50 to get writing!
