Alex Renton is a writer, journalist and broadcaster who has won awards for his work as an investigator, war correspondent and food policy writer. He has also worked for Oxfam, in East Asia, Haiti and on the Iraq war. Most recently he has been a columnist for The Times and a correspondent for Newsweek magazine. He is the author of Stiff Upper Lip: Secrets, Crimes and the schooling of a Ruling Class, later adapted as the BBC Radio 4 series In Dark Corners, and Blood Legacy, which was long-listed for both the Baillie Gifford Prize and the British Academy Book Award.
