Brian Lobel

Brian Lobel is an internationally renowned performer, teacher and curator whose work has shown work internationally, from Harvard Medical School to Sydney Opera House and from London’s National Theatre to Lagos’ Theatre Festival, blending provocative humour with insightful reflection. His books include Theatre & CancerBALL & Other Stories About Cancer, and Purge. His live performances include 24 Italian Songs & Arias (with Gweneth-Ann Rand), A Pacifist’s Guide to the War on Cancer (with Bryony Kimmings), BingeSex with Cancer and Cruising for Art. Brian has received commissions and grants from the Wellcome Trust, Complicite Jerwood and Arts Council England, among others.
