Elise Valmorbida grew up Italian in Australia and lives in London. Her 2018 award-winning Faber novel The Madonna of the Mountains is published internationally in several languages and editions. Other books include Matilde Waltzing, The TV President, The Winding Stick and The Book of Happy Endings. Elise is also an award-winning indie film producer and wrote Saxon: The Making of a Guerrilla Film. Her latest non-fiction is a creative writing guide: The Happy Writing Book.
