Emma Carroll

Emma Carroll’s books include Frost Hollow Hall, which won the North East Book Award and The Girl Who Walked on Air which was nominated for the 2014 Carnegie Medal. Her novel Strange Star is a gothic re-telling of how Mary Shelley came to write ‘Frankenstein’, and was named a Children’s Book of the Year 2016 by the Financial Times. She is published by Faber & Faber. A former English teacher, Emma now writes full-time.
