Emma Carroll’s recent novels, Secrets of a Sun King and Letters from the Lighthouse, have been selected for the coveted Waterstones Book of the Month slot. Other books include Frost Hollow Hall, which won the North East Book Award and The Girl Who Walked on Air which was nominated for the 2014 Carnegie Medal. Her novel Strange Star is a gothic re-telling of how Mary Shelley came to write ‘Frankenstein‘, and was named a Children’s Book of the Year 2016 by the Financial Times.
