Jennifer Wong was born and raised in Hong Kong and now based in the UK. She studied English at Oxford University and earned an MA in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. She has a creative writing PhD on contemporary diaspora poetry at Oxford Brookes University. Wong is the author of three poetry collections including 回家 Letters Home (Nine Arches Press, 2020), which was the PBS Spring 2020 Wild Card Choice. She has taught creative writing at Poetry School, Oxford Brookes University, City Lit and was writer in residence at Wasafiri in 2011. She is a visiting fellow at Oxford TORCH in 2022. Her book, Identity, Home and Writing Elsewhere in Contemporary Chinese Diaspora Poetry, is forthcoming from Bloomsbury Academic.Her works have appeared in journals including Poetry London, Wasafiri, Poetry Wales, Magma Poetry, World Literature Today, Wildness, Asian Cha, The Rialto, TATE ETC, Stand, Washington Square Review, Under the Radar, anthologies such as Why I Write Poetry (Nine Arches Press, 2022) and others. She also reviews and translates poetry.
