Kerry Hadley-Pryce

Kerry Hadley-Pryce is a fiction, short story and essay writer from the Black Country. She has had four novels published by Salt Publishing: The Black Country (Michael Schmidt Prize), Gamble (shortlisted for The Encore Award), God’s Country, and Lie of the Land. She has a PhD in creative writing and teaches creative & professional writing at the University of Wolverhampton. She also teaches creative writing online, and is a creative writing mentor for Writing East Midlands. She has had chapters and essays published in various publications, and short stories published in Best British Short Stories 2023 and 2024, Takahe Magazine, Fictive Dream, The Incubator, Anglo-files and read by Brum Radio. Her novels have been described as ‘Black Country Noir’ and are heavily influenced by the Black Country as a weird and inspirational place. She is currently working on her fifth novel.
