Residential Writing Week: Writing Motherhood
Creation and inspiration
Nell Frizzell is a journalist, writer and Vogue columnist. She has written for the Guardian, the Telegraph, Elle, the Observer, Grazia and The Sunday Times among many others. Her first book, The Panic Years, was an exploration of bodies, babies and the big questions facing modern life. Her first novel, Square One, is a humorous look at fathers and daughters, moving back to your hometown and feeling out of sync. Her book, Holding The Baby: Milk, Sweat and Tears from the Frontline of Motherhood is a memoir-cum-manifesto on early parenting, how to survive it and what to do with all that cold tea. Her novel Cuckoo – about siblings, genes, pregnancy and spit – is out this summer.
