Will Awdry went from being a loo cleaner to a deckhand to an account man in advertising. He rapidly woke up and turned his hand to copywriting. Since the 1980s, he has helped bring Levi’s 501s, Audi’s Vorsprung Durch Technik, Dove’s Campaign for Real Beauty and a host of other companies’ offerings to your attention. He has coached copywriting to around 3,000 people, writes long-form, commissioned works for a variety of clients and admires the ghosts of many, non-existent novels in his bottom drawer.
