The Good Turn

(recommended age: 8-12)

Join award-winning author Sharna Jackson as she reads from her book The Good Turn, tells us what its like to be a professional author and answers your questions.

A perfect book for young readers who love a fast-paced adventure story with an element of mystery, The Good Turn is all about friendship, bravery and real-life injustice.

If you’re wondering what inspired Sharna to write this book, how she came up with the characters or even what she had for tea last night, sign up now for your chance to ask!

Arvon at Home Readings for Children and Young People are a chance to connect with published writers from the comfort of your home or classroom. Hear authors read from their books, talk about what its like to be a writer and get the chance to ask your questions and hear them answered live during the event. And the best part? They’re completely free!

The event will be delivered via Zoom and will last 50 minutes. The event is completely secure, and participants will not be able to see, hear or chat to one another. Participants will be able to communicate with the author via the chat and Q&A box, both of which are monitored closely by Arvon. You will need to have a computer or smart device and a reliable internet connection in order to participate. This event will be live and will be recorded. The recording will be saved in the cloud and made available to those with confirmed advance bookings for a period of two weeks only. It will not be downloadable.
