Arvon at Home: Live Guest Reading

Craft Talk and Q&A with Eloise Whitmore via Zoom

Wednesday November 3rd 2021, 19:15 BST

In this special LGR, Eloise Whitmore will lead a live talk on what it takes to create radio drama. She will speak on the intricacies (and simplicities) of sound design, and will take any questions you might have on the creative or business side of creating radio.

Eloise Whitmore has been working in radio for 20 years. She has worked with film-maker Peter Strickland, Björk and Samson Young, among others, but is mainly to be found recording sounds and creating radio drama. In 2013, she won the Radio Sound Designer and Producer of the Year Award.

The talk and interactive Q&A will be hosted on Zoom. This is a live event and will not be recorded.

We are more committed than ever to helping writers find inspiration, and to make space for their own creativity, no matter the setting. So join us from the comfort of your sofa and listen to someone at the top of their game. Just remember to bring a pen and some questions!

Cost: £5.00 (concession: £2.50)

Very lovely. It had an intimate feeling despite it being a Zoom event and all of us being in different places.
