Arvon at Home: Live Guest Reading

Reading and Q&A with Elise Valmorbida via Zoom

Wednesday December 15th 2021, 19:15 BST

Now more than ever we need stories – to engage, to distract, to entertain, to nourish, and to help us make sense of what we’re living through. And so while you can’t come to us, instead we will come to you, bringing a taste of Arvon into your home one night a week. Every week an Arvon tutor will join us as a guest, to read from their own work and answer your questions live and in person online.

This Live Guest Reading is with Elise Valmorbida on Wednesday 15 December at 19:15 BST

Award-winning author of four novels and non-fiction such as The Book of Happy Endings, Elise Valmorbida has taught creative writing for two decades. Her most recent novel, The Madonna of the Mountains, is published in several languages internationally. Elise is also an award-winning independent film producer and script consultant. Her latest work of non-fiction is a creative writing guide, to be published in 2021.

The reading and interactive Q&A will be hosted on Zoom. This is a live event and will not be recorded.

Cost: £5.00 (concessions £2.50)

Very lovely. It had an intimate feeling despite it being a Zoom event and all of us being in different places.

"Thanks for an excellent session last night. It worked very well on Zoom, especially with the Q&A using the chat function."

"What a brilliant reading. It was intimate and moving and very listener friendly. I loved it and will be back for more."
