Arvon at Home Masterclass: Seeking Form
Zoom Masterclass with Edward Parnell

This daylong event with prize winning writers Kit De Waal and Lisa Blower is dedicated to the celebration of identity in literature. Using their own works as creative prompts and discussion points, Kit and Lisa will share and discuss their process and practice when exploring matters of identity, voice, regionality, place, belonging, and achieving authenticity in representation.
The day will feature two two-hour masterclasses where Kit and Lisa will talk Character Identities in one session by referencing Kit’s work, and then Aspects of Regionality in a second session referencing Lisa’s work. Each session will feature writing tasks enabling you to either start a new work, or perhaps even complete a work of flash fiction or poetry. The day will close with a reading and In Conversation event with Cold War Steve.
Location: Parkside Building, 5 Cardigan Street, Birmingham, B4 7BD
Arvon is delighted to run this event in partnership with Birmingham City University.
