The Bedtime Book of Impossible Questions

(recommended age: 7+)

Arvon at Home Workshops for Children and Young People are designed with freedom in mind: freedom to think and to create! They offer online opportunities for creativity and self-expression, outside the curriculum, for young people aged 8 upwards, whether from their own home or in a school classroom, under the guidance of expert tutors in poetry and prose. And the best part? They’re completely free!

Have you ever been kept up at night, baffled by seemingly impossible-to-answer questions about our world? Join science writer and author Isabel Thomas as she gets to the bottom of those need-to-know questions, answers your impossible questions and tasks you with a writing challenge.

Isabel is a science writer and the author of a galaxy of books for young audiences. They include Moth: An Evolution Story, winner of the AAAS/Subaru Prize. Isabel is a feature writer for The Week Junior Science + Nature and works with organisations such as the Wellcome Sanger Institute and BBC Bitesize to translate complex and sensitive scientific ideas into outreach resources. She regularly runs workshops and talks, from Cheltenham Science Festival to BBC Woman’s Hour. Isabel studied Human Sciences at the University of Oxford and completed her MPhil Education Research at the University of Cambridge.
