Join us from the comfort of your sofa and listen to writers share their work, the stories behind their work, and invaluable writing advice directly from their own desk (or maybe the kitchen table). And the best part? At the end you get to ask them questions about their words, pick their brains on craft, and learn more about the business of writing.

Yvonne Battle-Felton, author of Remembered, is an author, academic, host, creative producer, and writer. Remembered was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction (2019) and shortlisted for the Jhalak Prize (2020). Yvonne has received a British Library Eccles Centre and a Kimbilio Fiction Fellowships and teaches creative writing at Sheffield Hallam University where she is a Principal Lecturer and Humanities Business and Enterprise Lead. and is Academic Director of Creative Writing at Cambridge University Institute of Continuing Education. Host of Write Your Novel with Yvonne Battle-Felton, a write-along podcast series developed with New Writing North and Bookable Space, podcast that connects readers with writers, Yvonne creates and hosts literary and storytelling events and opportunities. Curdle Creek, her second novel, will be published in 2024 with Dialogue Books in the UK and Henry Holt in the US.

Very lovely. It had an intimate feeling despite it being a Zoom event and all of us being in different places.
