Jerwood/Arvon Showcase

Live readings and performances

Monday November 23rd 2020, 19:30 GMT

The Jerwood/ Arvon Mentoring programme is a unique writer development scheme that offers emerging writers a year of one-to-one mentoring with an established writer in the genres of playwriting, fiction and poetry. Now in its ninth iteration, this programme is run by Arvon in partnership with Jerwood Arts, with applications open to writers who attended Arvon courses in the previous two years.

The 2019/20 cohort of mentees were selected from nearly 350 applicants to spend the year working with mentors Evan Placey, Nicholas Royle and Hannah Lowe.

This showcase is the culmination of the programme and the official launch of The Untangling, the ninth Jerwood/ Arvon Anthology. Join us in celebrating the achievements of this year’s Jerwood/Arvon mentee cohort via a Zoom showcase, featuring readings from the anthology by each of the mentees.

Meet the 2019/20 Jerwood/ Arvon mentees.

The showcase will be hosted on Zoom. This is a live event and will not be recorded.

Cost: Free
