Non-fiction is increasingly popular in all its forms. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to write narrative non-fiction or memoir, and to develop writing skills in a supportive and inspiring environment. We will offer detailed advice on getting started and keeping going, structure and architecture, character, description and practicalities, as well as how to present and shape a non-fiction proposal to attract an agent.

The Ted Hughes Arvon Centre, Lumb Bank is an 18th-century millowners house in West Yorkshire, which once belonged to Ted Hughes. It’s set in 20 acres of steep woodland with breathtaking views to the valley below.
