Life Writing

Create powerful stories from your lived experience

Monday October 29th - Saturday November 3rd 2018

The Hurst

It’s frustrating when people don’t ‘get’ what you have lived through. Often, that’s because we tell them lessons we’ve learned instead of showing life as it unfolded and allowing our readers to work things out for themselves. If you know you have a powerful story to tell but aren’t sure how to keep people’s interest, and deliver real impact, this course will teach you to select telling details and share the moments that matter most. Participants are invited to submit up to 2,000 words of a work-in-progress, to be sent to The Hurst by 28 September 2018.

Single room price: £800
