Online Writing Day: Create a Sustainable Writing Habit
Start writing and keep going

What makes a person or place come alive in a piece of writing? How can you describe them with telling detail – detail that drives forward your story? The answer isn’t always more hard work, but a playful approach that calls on the techniques of illustration and improvisational theatre. You don’t need to be able to draw, or act – not at all – just be willing to make observations and build on them. In this practical and interactive non fiction writing day, author artist and performer John-Paul Flintoff will share techniques that will galvanise all your stories.
To make the event as accessible and flexible as possible, all sessions of the day are delivered live via Zoom webinar. You have the choice to attend each session live, which will mean you can contribute via the chatbox, or you can watch the recordings of each session at any time over the course of the following month. Please note, your camera and audio will not be visible/audible, allowing you to relax and take the day at your own pace.
