How I Write: Abi Morgan
Q&A and Reading
Research as practice: a personal journey. The day begins with an illustrated talk by artist, curator, archivist and writer Rachel Lichtenstein, demonstrating how research, as an essential part of her creative practice, underpins and informs her multidisciplinary work on place, memory and identity.
In the afternoon there will be a practical workshop (including creative writing exercises) examining different methodologies and disciplines used within contemporary creative non-fiction writing to explore locations and their histories, including pyschogeography, deep topography, oral history, photography, archival research and immersive writing.
To make the event as accessible and flexible as possible, all sessions of the day are delivered live via Zoom webinar. You have the choice to attend each session live, which will mean you can contribute via the chatbox, or you can watch the recordings of each session at any time over the course of the following month. Please note, your camera and audio will not be visible/audible, allowing you to relax and take the day at your own pace.
