Got a great idea for a play? Unsure what form it would work best in? Then this is the course for you. We will deconstruct an idea to its fundamentals then look at ways to transform it first into a compelling monologue, next a dynamic duologue, and finally we will brainstorm ideas to amplify it into a large cast play for a main stage. We will also consider outstanding plays in all different forms to mine what makes them so successful and draw inspiration.

Led by former Globe Writer-in-Residence and current Bristol Old Vic Writer-in-Residence Hannah Khalil, who has written highly successful plays for one person to over twenty, you will leave this day brimming with ideas for fresh ways to bring your concept to life on the stage and the beginnings of a monologue and duologue, as well as a plan for a larger cast version of your idea.
