POETRY

Exploring the lyric self

Monday August 31st - Saturday September 5th 2020

Lumb Bank

For poets at every level, this course will encourage new and vibrant approaches to generating work and sharing it. How do we write the self? Where does it reside? What might we do to release other selves? Bring your notebook and writing tools, to explore how a sense of diverse and inclusive poetics and varied formal techniques can enrich your reading and writing life. You may have poems on the go, or be brewing something that just needs the time, space and fizz of the workshop to happen on the page. The tutors will tailor the course to the individual needs of the participants. Come prepared to write, to read, and with a sense of exploratory openness to forms and approaches, both new and traditional.

Single room price: £815
