Arvon Patrons

Arvon relies on your donations to continue our charitable work with disadvantaged children and young people, marginalised and vulnerable adults, and writers on low incomes. We are extremely grateful for every donation from our supporters.

We would not be able to offer what we do – a home for creative writing, where anyone, regardless of experience, can step away from their normal routine, immerse themselves in the creative process, be inspired by experienced writers and release their imaginative potential – without your generous support.

We hope you will enjoy supporting Arvon at your chosen level of patronage and we very much look forward to seeing you soon at a patrons’ event or house tour.

WORDSMITH

 

From £500 annually / £42 monthly

Arvon Wordsmiths receive:

  • Acknowledgement on our Supporters page

  • An invitation for two to the annual Arvon Winter Drinks Reception, hosted by Arvon’s CEO and Chair of Trustees and featuring a writer as guest speaker

  • A free online Arvon Masterclass

  • A quarterly Supporters Newsletter

  • A fortnightly email with writers’ tips and exercises.

STORYTELLER

 

From £1500 annually / £125 monthly

Arvon Storytellers receive:

  • All the patron benefits available to Wordsmiths

  • Grateful acknowledgement on a supporter’s plaque in one of Arvon’s Writing Houses

  • A guided tour of one of the Houses and its gardens

  • An invitation for two to the annual Arvon Spring Drinks Reception, featuring a high-profile writer and an agent or publisher.

MYTHMAKER

 

From £5000 annually

Arvon Mythmakers receive:

  • All the patron benefits available to Wordsmiths and Storytellers

  • Bespoke, tailored updates on Arvon’s charitable activities

  • An overnight stay for two to complement the patron’s tour of one of Arvon’s Writing Houses and its gardens

  • An invitation for two to an annual exclusive dinner hosted by Arvon’s CEO, Deputy CEO and Artistic Director and featuring a high-profile writer.

Become a Mythmaker

Notes

The Wordsmith fee comprises a suggested donation of £392 and a minimum payment for the Wordsmith benefit package of £108. The Storyteller fee comprises a suggested donation of £1296 and a minimum payment for the Storyteller benefit package of £204. The Mythmaker fee comprises a suggested donation of £4412 and a minimum payment for the Mythmaker benefit package of £588.

Any donation on top of the obligatory cost of the benefit package is a suggested amount, given voluntarily and autonomously, and to which Gift Aid provisions apply. It is possible to pay for but waive the benefit package at one’s chosen level of patronage. Donations and benefit packages are non-refundable.  Should a supporter wish to purchase one of the benefit packages at the quoted price only and without expectation of a further donation, the Arvon Development Team can be contacted at patrons@arvon.org.
