By remembering Arvon in your will, you can help future generations discover the transformative power of writing.
Leaving a gift to Arvon in your will won’t cost you anything right now, and any size of gift will make a valuable contribution to Arvon’s future work. Most people choose to leave either a pecuniary legacy, which is a specific amount of money or item; or a residuary legacy, which is the remainder, or a percentage of the remainder, of your estate once family and friends have been taken care of.
If you have already made a will and would like to leave a gift to Arvon, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing will. This is called a codicil and is a supplement to your will enabling you to include new instructions and delete old ones, without having to go through the task of rewriting the whole will.
If you have not already made a will, we advise that you visit a solicitor to seek advice about how to make one. Solicitors will charge a fee, but you will receive sound professional advice and can be sure that your wishes are accurately reflected. For general information about making a charitable donation in your will, please visit www.rememberacharity.org.uk.
We’d be delighted to talk this through with you in more detail. We would be grateful if you would let us know if you have left us a gift, as we would like to show our gratitude during your lifetime.
Arvon is a registered charity, number 306694.
