Alice Birch

Alice Birch is a writer for film and TV, as well as an accomplished playwright. She is the writer of the critically-acclaimed film Lady Macbeth, while her TV credits include Normal People, and Succession. Her second feature is an adaptation of the Graham Swift novel Mothering Sunday for Number 9 Films and Film 4, which finished shooting in November 2020. She is also adapting bestselling novel The Silent Patient for Plan B and Annapurna and has a currently untitled feature project in development with Jim Wilson and BBC Films. Alice is currently writing on Sally Rooney’s Conversations With Friends and is showrunning a limited series adaptation of David Cronenberg’s Deadringers for Annapurna and Amazon starring Rachel Weisz.
