Catherine Barr

Catherine wrote her first book, The Story of Life: a first book on evolution in 2015 with co-author of this ongoing series, science teacher Steve Williams. She has since written over 25 books, two illustrated by Anne Wilson and all aimed at inspiring children’s curiosity in the natural world.

With a degree in ecology and a passion for environmental issues, Catherine first worked for Greenpeace for many years. She campaigned for endangered species with a specific focus on sea turtle conservation. She has also worked in the Natural History Museum in London writing exhibitions and as a communications consultant for social and environment NGOs.
