Pier Wilkie

Pier started her career in film and TV as a script reader for Film4, before becoming a script editor at BBC Films. She moved into the serials ( mini-series) department as a development executive and then producer. She worked for the BBC (in-house and freelance) as a producer and latterly executive producer until 2021. She has been nominated for and won several awards, including three BAFTAs. After making several short films over the years, in 2022 she decided to change direction and focus on directing. She was a director on new five-part drama, Better, which screened recently on BBC 1 and other recent work includes The Lazarus Project for Sky. She is also writing a feature film developed through iFeatures (BFI, Creative England and BBC Films).
