Online Writing Week: Poetry
Poetry and its Hinterland
What might happen in your writing if anything could happen?
Join Tania Hershman and Sean Lusk on an enchanted journey, letting your imagination off its leash and seasoning your short stories, poems and hybrid pieces with a little magic. How does the opposite of our reality allow us to tell truths we can’t tell any other way? How can the surreal be startlingly sobering? A proportion of the proceeds of this Masterclass will go towards a bursary fund for writers from underrepresented communities to attend a Magical Realism Residential Writing Week with Sean and Tania at Totleigh Barton in October 2024. In that light, this Masterclass is perfect as a standalone workshop or as a taster for October’s longer course.
The Masterclass will be delivered via Zoom webinar, so you can take the session at your own pace, without the pressure of having your video or camera on. Sessions are also recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you will have access to the recording for a month afterwards.
Online: £40
Concessions: £20
As part of our effort to increase participation in the arts, half-price concessions are available for this course at checkout. There are a limited number of free subsidised places for those who cannot afford the concession price.
We are committed to making our Arvon at Home programme accessible to as many people as possible.
