How do you feel about writing from the full range of voices and worlds that haunt your life? Are you excited by geography and history; language, time, and place – or overwhelmed? According to John Donne, “No man is an island” and in this Masterclass, poet Anthony (Vahni) Capildeo guides you through a shared, text-based understanding of diaspora and many-worldedness, exploring the role of the imagination in world-building. Vahni also looks at language, and languages, extending into sounds, soundscapes, silence, and music. This Masterclass also examines the poetry of Zohar Atkins, Josie Giles, Kei Miller, and Loretta Collins Klobah, inspiring you to generate your own new writing on many-worldedness.
