Masterclass: Nature Writing
Writing the wild
Join award-winning writer Jessica J Lee to explore the frequently tricky question of how best to structure your non-fiction. Whether you’re tackling a braided essay, a book in fragments, or something more linear, this masterclass will consider the many possible structures your non-fiction work may take.
Using a range of exercises for mapping out your project’s architecture, timeline, and tone, you’ll gain insights into how to find the right shape for any piece you may want to write. We’ll explore tactics for re-moulding a work you’ve already written as well as tools for planning structure from the ground up for future work.
You’ll leave with new ideas and tools for how to bring the best possible shape to your non-fiction.
The Masterclass will be delivered via Zoom webinar, so you can take the session at your own pace, without the pressure of having your video or camera on. Sessions are also recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you will have access to the recording for a month afterwards.
