Masterclass: Nature Writing
Writing the wild
Sometimes it can be hard to fill the blank page. Join award-winning tutor Katy Schutte as she guides you through creative practices to enrich and unstick your writing process. Whether you’d like to ideate at the beginning of a project or work through a block, simple improvisation exercises can open up new possibilities. You don’t need to be an actor or performer, and you don’t need any previous experience of improvisation or writing. Equally, you’re more than welcome to join if you consider yourself a master of both! Improv creates a ‘yes-and’ mindset, leaving the editor outside of the room until you’re ready to let them in. You’ll be led through practical and fun solo exercises to get you started on monologue and multi-character scripts for TV, film or theatre.
The Masterclass will be delivered via Zoom webinar, so you can take the session at your own pace, without the pressure of having your video or camera on. Sessions are also recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you will have access to the recording for a month afterwards.
