Masterclass: Using Social Media to Make Your Poems Fly
How to get your unique voice heard
Do you want to write about your own or other cultures, but worry that you may unknowingly perpetuate stereotypes, or that you may unwittingly fall into the trap of ‘cultural appropriation’?
This masterclass, led by author and creative writing tutor Abda Khan, is designed to help you to become more mindful when writing about ‘cultural’ issues. You will learn how to spot your own biases, gain an insight into why stereotyping is harmful, and be given top tips for how to avoid cultural appropriation.
This recording will be available to watch at your convenience. Please see the ‘Access’ tab for information on how to find it.
