Writing Monologues

Join poet Jonathan Edwards to explore a range of exciting strategies for writing monologue poems poems inspired by the greats, including Carol Anne Duffy, Simon Armitage and Ted Hughes. During the workshop, you’ll have the chance to try writing from the point of view of objects, animals and places.  How would it feel to be a bird, swooping over a town, or even a chocolate bar, sitting on the shelf in a corner shop? You’ll exercise your imaginative and empathetic powers and come away from the session having written three new poems.

This workshop is roughly 60 minutes including writing time.
